A man was shocked by a stun gun during a carjacking in MetroWest, and the culprits were nabbed a short time later after a crash, according to Orlando police.

The carjacking occurred around 11:45 a.m. Thursday in the 5100 block of MetroWest Boulevard.

Orlando police said two assailants approached a man and demanded the keys to his Chrysler 300.  A struggle ensued, and one of the culprits used a stun gun on the man several times, police said.

The assailants then stole the man's car and sped off, according to police, who said the stolen vehicle crashed about two minutes later on Old Winter Garden Road near Ivey Lane.  Two people bailed from the stolen car but were located and detained, police said.

The suspected driver complained of chest pains and other minor injures as a result of the crash and was taken to a hospital.  The other person was being questioned by police.

A stun gun was found inside the stolen vehicle.

The victim received minor injuries.
