Freeze warnings issued in Central Florida
A freeze warning was issued for Marion and Sumter counties and wind chill advisories were issued across the Central Florida on Wednesday.[WEATHER: Storm Tracking App | Forecast | Warnings | Live radar]
"The clear sky, arctic air, and wind will combine to make for a cold overnight," said Local 6 Chief Meteorologist Tom Sorrells.
The low in Ocala will drop to 28 degrees. In Orlando, the low stops at 39.
The only area without a warning or advisory is Brevard County. The low in Cocoa Beach will be 44. Melbourne dips to 46.
Thursday the sunshine will push the high back to only 58 in Orlando. There is a chance of a coastal sprinkle, but most will stay dry.
Rain chances do return for the weekend with a 20 percent chance of rain late on Saturday and a high of 66.
Sunday the high will hit 77 degrees with a 30 percent chance of rain.

‘Citizenfour’ Sweeps Cinema Eye Honors Documentary Awards
“Citizenfour,” Laura Poitras’ documentary about NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, won four awards at the Cinema Eye Honors in New York City on Wednesday, reinforcing its position as the dominant non-fiction film of 2014.
The film swept the top categories, winning Outstanding Achievement in Nonfiction Feature Filmmaking as well as Outstanding Achievement in Direction, Editing and Production.
It became the second film in Cinema Eye history to win four awards, after “Waltz With Bashir,” and the second to win best feature and best director after Steve James’ “The Interrupters.”

In December, “Citizenfour” won the top prize at the IDA Documentary Awards, the other main honor given to non-fiction filmmaking.
