The Orlando Predators confirmed Thursday that Brett Bouchy has given up his role as the Preds' managing partner, and sold his shares of the franchise, ending his 17-year business relationship with the Arena Football League team.
Bouchy was responsible for the team's various promotions, including "The Performance Guarantee," a promised discount to season ticket holders if the Predators did not win a certain number of games. He was also responsible for personnel decisions, hiring and firing two coaches in the last three years.
Another team owner, David Pearsall, will now assume duties of managing partner.
Below are the statements released by both Pearsall and Bouchy:
David Pearsall, Predators Operating Manager:
“I am grateful for this opportunity. The Predators have some of the best fans anywhere, players & coaches with determination, and heart and a staff who love this game and this city. It’s an honor to be a part of it. I believe our current path will lay the groundwork for our success in the future. I plan to strengthen our relationship with the Orlando Magic and the City of Orlando for the benefit of our employees and our fans. I’ll be asking that everyone have an open mind and share my willingness to cooperate while focusing on a mutually favorable resolution with any previous concerns. This team has been a part of this community in Orlando for the past 22 years and we look to continue the winning tradition that this franchise has established for many years to come.”
Brett Bouchy:
“David has been a long time partner of mine, and the Predators, and will make a great addition to the Predators organization. While I am sad to be leaving the team, I am excited to be moving on to other ventures and the next chapter in my life. I wish David and the Predators the best of luck”.
