For three weeks the six jurors in the George Zimmerman trial were hidden from the public eye. What was undoubtedly an emotionally draining experience, by the looks of it was also pretty comfortable.

Sequestered to restrict their access to the media, the all-female jury was allowed scheduled visits from family and friends, but had their phone calls, mail, TV and internet use monitored. Still, their stay had its perks. (Via CBS)

According to the Orlando Sentinel, it included *“manicures and pedicures,” *outings to see *"World War Z" and "The Lone Ranger,” *dinner at* “Outback Steakhouse*,” as well as a trip to a  “*bowling alley.”* All at a cost to taxpayers of $33,000.

While that may seem extravagant, a Florida attorney says otherwise, telling USA Today:

“*It certainly seems reasonable to me that a woman would desire a bit of personal grooming over 22 days. Going to the movies and having basic levels of entertainment ... seems very reasonable over three weeks.”*

Over the weekend, the jurors deliberated for more than 15 hours to reach a not guilty verdict — a decision that riveted the nation. (Via ABC)

One of the jurors told CNN she was unaware of the media circus surrounding the trial.

*“By the time we came out, it looked like Disney World — there was media, there were police ... and it really kind of started to sink in.”*

NBC reports the court is making counseling available to the jurors, whose identities remain anonymous. Reported by Newsy 2 hours ago.
