A Jones High School student was arrested on Tuesday after deputies say he brought a gun and ammo to school.

Police said a teacher observed bullets fall out of 15-year-old DeAngelo McCoy's pocket during gym.
When police arrived, they found McCoy and asked to interview him. When McCoy got up to walk away from the lunch table, he grabbed the wrong backpack and tried to leave, when a student said McCoy had his backpack.
Police searched both backpacks and in the other backpack under the table, along with items with McCoy's name on it, police said they found a semiautomatic handgun, magazine and 12 live rounds.
McCoy was charged with possession of a firearm by a minor, possession of a concealed firearm and possession of a firearm on school grounds.
