A witness helped Winter Park police nab a man suspected of plowing into three construction workers while driving under the influence.
Arnold Dwayne Kleine was arrested after the crash, which occurred around 11 p.m. Wednesday on Fairbanks Avenue near Rollins College.
According to Winter Park police, Kleine struck the workers and took off. A witness, however, wrote down his vehicle license tag number, and Kleine was arrested a short time later on a charge of DUI with serious bodily injury, police said.
One of the workers was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The others were taken to Winter Park Hospital and were expected to be OK.
