For more than two decades, Judge Belvin Perry worked for the people of Orange and Osceola counties. Now, Local 6 has learned that the judge who presided over the Casey Anthony murder trial will work for the law firm that is "for the people."

Morgan & Morgan announced that Perry will join its team, and the firm plans to reveal details on Perry's position during a news conference at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The conference will be held at the Morgan & Morgan law office on N. Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando.

Perry, 64, officially resigned from his position on Aug. 31.

In a letter to Florida Gov. Rick Scott, Perry said it's been an honor and privilege to serve the citizens of Orange and Osceola counties for nearly 25 years.

"I am looking forward to the next chapter in my life," he said.
