Three Sessions Promote Best Practices in Design

Join PlayCore at the Florida Recreation and Park Association (FRPA) annual conference on Tuesday, August 26 and Wednesday, August 27 as master trainer, Jennie Sumrell, Director of Education from PlayCore’s Center for Professional Development, presents three interactive educational sessions.
Jennie will be presenting “Communicating the Research-based Benefits of Play to Potential Funders” illustrating the importance of investing in play and recreation initiatives on Tuesday, August 19th from 3:30-4:30 p.m. On Wednesday, she will present “Infusing Nature into the Everyday Spaces of Childhood” from 2:15-3:15 p.m. which addresses the need for intentional design strategies to reconnect children with nature and “Adult Fitness Parks: Promoting Community Health & Physical Activity” from 3:30-4:30 p.m. to effectively champion innovative solutions to promote healthy lifestyles.
The conference will be held in Orlando, Florida at the Hilton Orlando from August 25-28. FPRA promises to provide several educational-based presentations in the field of park and recreation and 100s of exhibits.
