*ATLANTA (August 13, 2014)* - Jacob Lazarovic, M.D., FAAFP, senior vice president and chief medical officer, Broadspire®, will be appearing in two panel discussions at the Workers' Compensation Institute®'s (WCI) 69 ^th Annual Workers' Compensation Educational Conference® and 26 ^th Annual Safety & Health Conference.
This national meeting will occur August 17-20 at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Fla. WCI is a nonprofit educational organization that serves as a comprehensive resource to all workers compensation stakeholders. The first panel, titled "Early Intervention in Chronic Pain Claims: Not Just a Truism Any More," occurs Monday, August 18, from 2:30-3:15 p.m. EST. The panel will present the most current research on the biopsychosocial model as the new best practices approach to managing chronic pain claims. The second panel, titled "Critical Impact of All Stakeholders," occurs Tuesday, August 19, from 9-10 a.m. EST, and will outline and discuss how a collaborative process model works to yield breakthrough results in patient care, offering case studies on how managing the treatment process facilitates positive outcomes.
