The council voted to rezone nearly 8 acres of land across from the Amway Center, including the current police headquarters.

The $200 million project includes 68,000 square feet of retail space, to offices and hundreds of hotel rooms. It would also house the Magic team headquarters. The city sold the land to the team last year for nearly $13 million.

Construction of the new complex is expected to be done in phases over the next several years. Reported by Click Orlando 43 minutes ago.
