Disney parks see uptick in 2Q revenue, but attendance figures a no-show

As expected, the theme park business remained strong for The Walt Disney Co. (NYSE: DIS) in its second quarter ending March 29, as revenue for the entire division increased 8 percent to $3.6 billion. For Orlando, Walt Disney World's uptick in revenue is thanks to higher ticket prices, more food and merchandise sales, and more hotel guests. Disneyland's success came from higher attendance and hotels. The report did not mention attendance performance at Walt Disney World.
