India Network Foundation announced today three major visitor health insurance plan options to help elderly parents aged 50-99 years old visiting the United States, Canada, and Mexico. These health insurance plans offer coverage for pre-existing conditions, accidents and new health conditions with unique program features. Comprehensive plans offer pre-existing condition coverage up to $25,000 for all age groups and up to $500,000 coverage for accidents and new medical conditions that develop while in the United States.
Dr. KV Rao, President and Founder of the India Network Foundation, said that several India Network members were not able to invite their aged parents from India due to lack of proper medical insurance coverage. Members have been requesting coverage for many years. Unfortunately, even India-based insurance companies such as TATA-AIG Travel Guard plans have very limited coverage for anyone above 70 years if available and very expensive. Today, India Network Health Insurance is the only one in the entire United States to offer coverage to visitors as old as 99 years old visiting the United States from anywhere in the World.
The Platinum Health Insurance Plan by Nationwide Life Insurance Company offers a minimum of $50,000 coverage for visitors aged 80 and above with a pre-existing condition coverage of $25,000, highest offered in the United States. Another comprehensive visitor health insurance plan by ACE American Insurance Company offers coverage of $75,000 to ages 80 plus with an excellent pre-existing condition coverage provision. The Premier Scheduled Benefit Plan offers similar coverage for pre-existing conditions with a policy maximum of $100,000 for ages 80 and above.
