Fit Body Boot Camp in Orlando, recently hosted a charity boot camp that successfully raised funds for Orlando local, Brent Snyder, who lives with cystic fibrosis.

Fit Body Boot Camp in Orlando owners Kerry Girona and Andrea Laing recently held a charity boot camp in order to support Orlando resident, Brent Snyder, who lives with cystic fibrosis. The fitness boot camp franchise hosted the Brent Can Breathe fundraiser on June 1st from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with 75 boot camp participants and collected over $700.
Officially called Brent Can Breathe, this June charity boot camp marks the second fundraiser held for Orlando local Brent Snyder, 24, whose last boot camp fundraiser brought in over $2,000 to help pay for a much needed double lung transplant. December 2012’s charity Breathe for Brent was so successful that the Orlando Fit Body Boot Camp owners decided to host another event for Brent now that he’s healthy and able to participate.
Brent’s mother Cassie Snyder says that she is grateful for Fit Body Boot Camp and their continued efforts to support Brent’s medical bills and was thrilled that he was able to participate in June’s boot camp fundraiser.
She explains, "Orlando Fit Body Boot camp continues to amaze us with their kindness, generosity, and support for Brent, both prior to transplant and now post transplant. Brent being able to physically participate in the boot camp this time around was just truly incredible to see thanks to the gift of his new lungs. Prior to transplant Brent was on oxygen 24/7 and it was a major task just for him to get out of bed most days. The money raised from this event will continue to help with the costs of medical bills and medications that he will need for the rest of his life, so that he does not have issues with rejection or infection. I can't thank the owners, Kerry and Andrea, the trainers and all that attended enough for their support!"
Fit Body Boot Camp co-owner and Orlando personal trainer, Kerry Girona says that when her boot camp first heard of Brent and his need for a double lung transplant, they wanted to do everything they could to help him afford the transplant. That is how the charity “Breathe for Brent” was born. Following the success of their first fundraiser held for Brent, Fit Body Boot Camp Orlando has continued to raise funds for Brent’s medical costs.
Orlando Fit Body Boot Camp will also be hosting another fundraising event on August 2nd called Party for Pooches with all proceeds going to benefit Pet Rescue by Judy, a local well known animal shelter.
