Storms expected across Central Florida

A new cold front will bring more rain to Central Florida.

"There's increasing rain chances in the Orlando area for Wednesday and for Thursday afternoon," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.  "By Wednesday afternoon, some storms could be strong, with winds, lightning and heavy rain for the drive home."

High temperatures will warm to 78 degrees in Orlando on Wednesday, and there's a 60 percent coverage of rain.

Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s.

Rain chances on Thursday will be at 50 percent, and the high will reach 66 degrees.

The low will drop into the upper 40s.

"Friday's high will be 72, with partly cloudy skies and only a 10 percent coverage of rain," Bridges said.  "And it will be dry for the weekend."

High temperatures over the weekend will be near 80 degrees in Orlando.
