Nyala Shuler had 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead Orlando Edgewater to a 53-34 victory over Pensacola Pine Forest in the Florida Class 6A girls basketball championship game. Edgewater (27-6) held Pine Forest to two points in the second period and extended a 24-13 halftime lead to 15 points midway through the third period. Pine Forest (28-2) had several opportunities to rally and trimmed the lead to 35-27 late in the third after a basket by Ty Purifoy. But Edgewater went on a 13-1 run in the fourth period and took a 20-point lead with 4:23 left in the game and cruised to the title. Tiara McMillian led Edgewater with 17 points, and Haley Clark added 13 points and nine rebounds. Purifoy had 11 points and Britney Snowden added eight points and 11 rebounds.
