Orlando police arrest College Park murder suspect

Orlando Police say they have made an arrest in the College Park murder investigation that's been underway since Tuesday.

Police say they arrested Xin Liu, 24, in the Lockhart area of Orange County Wednesday evening.

Liu remained silent as he was walked out of Orlando police headquarters and taken to the Orange County jail around 8pm Tuesday night.

Police have charged both Liu and his landlord, Jeremy Hrabal, 37, with accessory to murder after the fact in the death of James Clark, 56.

Clark's badly beaten body was found in Liu's laundry room at 231 1/2 Princeton Street. The apartment is located right behind Hrabal's College Park home.

Police say they still don't know how Liu and Hrabal knew Clark and they don't have a motive for the murder.

"Detectives believe that the two people thus far arrested are suspects in this case," said Orlando police Sgt. Jim Young. "Investigators are working to determine exactly what role each person played in this."

Police say they do know that Hrabal called 911 around 6:18 Tuesday morning saying he found a dead boy in Liu's apartment. Hrabal later told detectives that he made the gruesome discovery after another tenant complained of a foul odor for five days.

But Hrabal also later admitted he waited seven hours after finding Clark's body before calling for help.

During that time, Hrabal said he helped his tenant remove Clark's vehicle from the property. Police say Hrabal and his wife, Jennifer Hrabal, also removed their cars so police couldn't search them.

Only Local 6 was outside the home Wednesday night when a man and woman returned to the Hrabal's home, but they too refused to answer all of our questions. Reported by Click Orlando 3 days ago.
