Orlando ranks No. 7 for May foreclosure rate

Metro Orlando continues to rank high in the U.S. for its residential foreclosure rate, despite seeing a 25 percent drop in filings last month, showed a new report by RealtyTrac Inc. The Orlando metropolitan statistical area — Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties — reported 2,778 foreclosure filings in May, or one in every 336 households, placing it seventh among the nation’s largest metro areas.
